Medemblik is the smallest, prettiest and oldest city of West-Friesland along the former Zuiderzee (IJsselmeer), approximately 40 kilometres north of Amsterdam. It received town privileges in 1289. Nowadays, the city counts about 7.600 inhabitants. With many interesting places to visit, it’s easy to spend the day in this beautiful city. There are many tourist attractions like harbours, Radboud castle, a Dutch Flourmill and many museums and establishments.
